A Discovery Collection

Imagine lifting the lid on a travelling trunk: folds of ikat and checks, layers of print and weave, each with the scent of far-off journeys. Curios is a wallpaper, weaves, and fabric collection that revels in the wonders of discovery, gathering designs whose stories stretch across cultures and centuries. 

Here, ikats such as Safar and Musafir are born of a meticulous warp-printing craft. Two thousand four hundred yarns are strung to form a broad warp, then painted by hand with water-based dyes before the weaving even begins. When cured, a team works thread by thread, aligning each with a jeweller’s precision. Weeks of preparation, painting, embroidery, and finishing leave a fabric alive with the hand of the maker. 

The palette is rich and directional. Earthenware tones and botanical greens sit alongside jewel brights, telling a story of treasures brought home. Designs such as Dabu, Bagru, Matmi, and Toba are woven with dense tactility, playing with the interplay of warp and weft; wallpapers including Musafir, Dabu, Mudmi, and Khes reinterpret textile patterns into layered surfaces for the wall. 

Printed fabrics unveil gardens heavy with palms, curling leafy trails, and lush florals. The herringbone stripe of Belari appears in bold, versatile colourways that link patterns and colours across the collection.
